Victoria Louisa McClaire, Duchess of Wiltshire (née Campbell; born 19 August 1960), is a British art curator and aristocrat. Her father was James Campbell, 11th Duke of Argyll and her husband is the 7th Duke of Wiltshire.

Biography Edit

Born in 19 August 1960 at Inveraray Castle, Argyll, Scotland, she is the eldest and only daughter of James Campbell, 11th Duke of Argyll and Louisa Campbell (née Percy), Duchess of Argyll. As a child, she undertook many activities including, horse-riding, ballet, drama, fencing and tennis. She went to the University of Edinburgh, where she got a MA in History of Art.

In 1984, she married Lord Rupert McClaire, then Marquess of Wardour. They have two children together:

When her father-in-law died in 1991, her husband succeeded to the dukedom and she became Duchess of Wiltshire. She currently works at the Tate Britain in London and is one of the Patrons of the National Portrait Gallery. The Duchess and her husband co-founded and run a charity together called the Duke and Duchess of Wiltshire Foundation. It  gives assistance to children and elderly people of the county.
