Dr. Melissa Frances Richards (née Calvin; born 01 September 1979), is an English historian and the chief curator of the Tower of London.

Born in South Kensington, London to Laurence Calvin, a mathematician and Frances Calvin (née Everdeen), a lawyer.

She went to Kensington Preparatory School until the age of eleven when she transferred to St. Paul's Girls' School an remained there until the age of eighteen.

In 1998 she began he studies at the University of Cambridge, where she read History, later undertaking an MA in Medieval History and a PhD in English Medieval History.

In 2004 she started working at the Tower of London as a curator and in 2010 she was promoted to chief curator.

Marriage & Children Edit

She's married to The Times, Anglo-Suisse journalist, François Richards and they have two children:

  • Blair Therése Richards (b. 2009)
  • Jeremy Laurence Richards (b. 2012)
